Who We Are

Youth for Peace is a youth-led initiative working to empower young people as leaders of peace, dialogue, and positive change. Founded by refugee youth and based in Jordan, the initiative brings together young people from diverse backgrounds—especially from refugee and host communities—to collaborate, learn, and take action toward building more peaceful, inclusive, and sustainable societies.

We believe that young people are not only the future but also powerful actors in the present. When given the right opportunities, tools, and trust, youth can become innovators, bridge-builders, and changemakers within their communities and beyond.

Since its establishment, Youth for Peace has created spaces where Jordanian and Syrian youth learn together, exchange experiences, and develop the skills needed to address local and global challenges. Through training programs, workshops, dialogue platforms, and community initiatives, we support young people in strengthening leadership, critical thinking, and intercultural understanding.

Our work focuses on promoting peacebuilding, global citizenship, and youth empowerment, while contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By connecting education with action, we enable youth to transform ideas into initiatives that foster social cohesion, resilience, and cooperation.

Youth for Peace also collaborates with academic institutions, international organizations, and civil society partners to expand opportunities for young people. Through these partnerships, we facilitate access to knowledge, capacity-building programs, and networks that help youth grow into influential leaders and peacebuilders.

Today, our growing community includes hundreds of young global citizens who share a common vision: a world where diversity becomes a source of strength, dialogue replaces division, and young people lead the way toward peace.

We work to equip youth with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to contribute positively to their communities and to address local and global challenges.

Through education, capacity-building programs, and collaborative initiatives, we promote the values of global citizenship, intercultural dialogue, and social cohesion, enabling young people to transform ideas into impactful action.
